What a sewer camera finds before you do

Nobody thinks about the sewer line until something backs up. By then the question isn’t what’s wrong, it’s how much of the yard has to come up to fix it.

Roots and bellies

Two things account for most of what we find. Tree roots work into the joints of older clay lines looking for moisture, and they keep growing once they’re in. A belly is a sagging section where the ground settled, so waste pools instead of draining. Both start as an occasional slow drain.

Why we camera first

An inspection shows which section is failing and how far down it sits, so you pay to fix what’s actually broken instead of replacing the whole run. If the line is clear, that’s worth knowing too — especially before you buy a house or pour a driveway over it.
